Question 3: A recent study by the National Association of Colleges and Employers found that the average college graduate in 2010 earned a salary of $48,351. According to Kenosha public records, sanitation workers and bus drivers in the city earn between $50,000 and $60,000 base salary (before taking overtime into consideration) What kind of message does this send about the value of education? And as a current student at UW-Parkside, why should I continue to pursue a degree and take on student loans, when I could earn far more by dropping out and getting a job in the public sector?
