Question 3: A recent study by the National Association of Colleges and Employers found that the average college graduate in 2010 earned a salary of $48,351. According to Kenosha public records, sanitation workers and bus drivers in the city earn between $50,000 and $60,000 base salary (before taking overtime into consideration) What kind of message does this send about the value of education? And as a current student at UW-Parkside, why should I continue to pursue a degree and take on student loans, when I could earn far more by dropping out and getting a job in the public sector?

Welcome to the 1st CRG Online Debate

The Kenosha Chapter of

Citizens for Responsible Government

Wisconsin State District 22 Online Debate

All candidates running for State Senator of District 22 (as of June 10th) will be presented with the same 15 questions:
3 questions will be from the Kenosha Chapter of CRG.
3 questions will be from Taxpayers to Recall Robert Wirch (a.k.a. RecallWirch.com)
* 6 questions will be from online submissions emailed to crg.kenosha@gmail.com
3 questions (1) from each candidate, as of June 10th there are three candidates (2 Republican & 1 Democrat) planning to be on the ballot for the July 19th special election.


The questions (along with the source), responses & non responses from all three candidates will all be posted at the same time; on this page. Two questions and their responses will be posted each week, starting June 19th.  The candidates will be asked to responsed in writing (via email crg.kenosha@gmail.com) or video (via YouTube posting). If posted on YouTube, the video will be embedded on this page as well.


* Note - If more then six questions are submitted for the online entries, the top 6 questions will be determined by a panel of 3, consisting of a member of the Kenosha Tea Party, a member of the Kenosha County Democratic Party and a member of the Republican Party of Kenosha County. The questions submitted, but not presented to the candidates, will be posted on the site as well.

Kenosha, WI - A new form of Senatorial Debate has been announced, The Kenosha Chapter of Citizens for Responsible Government presents the first Online Debate. The format is designed to have 60% of the questions asked for by the public or the candidates themselves. The remaining 40% will come from the grassroot groups which triggered the need for the July 19th special election; Taxpayers to Recall Robert Wirch & CRG.

Senator Robert Wirch, Fred Ekornaas & Jonathan Steitz will receive the first 2 of 15 questions on Wednesday June 15th. They will have four days to craft a response to each question. Their responses can take the form of an email or a YouTube video. All three response/non responses will be posted at the same time at http://recallwirch.blogspot.com/p/crg-online-debate.html as well as http://d22onlinedebate.blogspot.com/

Each week, 2 or 3 questions will be submitted to the candidates. To submit your question,send an email to crg.kenosha@gmail.com
